Woolworths Group is seeking a Senior Solution Architect for the Stores & Payments Domain. The role leads architectural strategy across front-of-store, back-of-store, and digital experiences, including AI and computer vision, with governance and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.

You will guide complex IT solutions, estimate roadmaps, and mentor a team of architects, contributing to a fast-paced retail technology environment and hybrid work model based in Norwest.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years IT/retail technology experience.
• Experience across multiple architecture domains.
• 5+ years delivering major business solutions in project teams.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of architecture teams with executive presence.
• Deep understanding of retail processes and IT systems.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and manage risk.
• Ability to build strong business cases and cost-aware estimations.
• Interest in AI and computer vision to drive innovations.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural roadmap across Woolworths' banners, shaping front‑of‑store, back‑of‑store and digital experiences including AI and computer vision.
• Lead the design of robust IT solutions that align with business requirements and governance.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to Business Unit Heads and Technology GMs.
• Research and recommend market-leading technologies to keep Woolworths at the forefront of retail innovation.
• Facilitate high-quality IT estimations and roadmaps to guide smart investments.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a team of Solution Architects to foster architectural excellence.
