Job summary

Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to drive architectural guidance across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Copilot, Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint Online and Purview.

You will translate complex business and security requirements into secure, scalable designs, provide strategic guidance to projects and establish reusable patterns that enable responsible use of cloud and AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• A relevant IT-related degree or qualification will be highly advantageous for this role.
• Certification in ITIL is highly desirable.
• Agile project experience will be advantageous.
• Proven expertise in software design patterns, development standards, and application frameworks.
• Integration patterns, service development (SOAP Web Services and RESTful APIs), API management and SOA framework, plus messaging formats (JSON and XML).

Responsibilities

• Develop solution proposals and assess technical designs across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Translate business, security, information management and non‑functional requirements into secure, scalable designs.
• Provide architectural guidance, lead option analysis and establish reusable patterns and guardrails.
• Collaborate with projects to enable effective use of Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI capabilities.
