Job summary

Griffith University on the Gold Coast is seeking a proactive School Manager to lead the School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work. You will partner with senior leaders to drive strategic priorities, workforce planning and operational excellence across three campuses.

As a key member of the School Executive Leadership Team, you will shape decisions, build a high-performing professional staff team and deliver meaningful outcomes for students and communities.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement, with ability to balance big-picture priorities and operational detail.
• Engaging, collaborative leadership with experience building high-performing teams.
• Excellent relationship-building skills across a complex organisation; ability to turn complex information into clear advice.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of School and senior leaders on strategic planning, governance, budgeting, workforce planning and resource management.
• Provide trusted advice and practical solutions on complex operational matters.
• Lead, coach and develop professional staff to foster a positive, collaborative culture.
• Lead business improvement, change initiatives and special projects with competing priorities.
• Contribute to academic workforce and workload planning, including sessional staffing and resource allocation.
• Build relationships across the School and University to achieve outcomes.
• Represent the School across University committees and initiatives.
