Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an experienced Sales Manager to execute high-value sales strategies and drive revenue growth. You will lead pricing decisions, align with customer objectives, and advocate SEL solutions across regions.

You will also mentor teams, analyze market trends, and participate in quarterly forecasting while traveling as needed to meet clients and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education/work experience in technical sales.
• 10+ years of experience in sales of power systems equipment.
• Demonstrated success growing sales within a territory and teaching others to be successful.
• Strong knowledge of industry practices.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Effective and engaging communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Fluent in local language and business practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute a sales strategy to provide high value solutions and grow business.
• Lead pricing and commercial strategy decisions.
• Understand customer requirements and deliver the optimal SEL solution.
• Maintain knowledge of SEL products and teach customers and sales teams SEL technology and innovation.
• Support regional leadership’s development and delivery of quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
• Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the organization.
• Drive strategic account and regional sales planning processes.
• Lead discussions with customers to optimize commercial relationships at executive levels.
• Mentor others and improve processes using SEL Values and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
