Job summary

Spirit of Tasmania is seeking a Safety and Environment Manager to lead safety and environmental risk management across Devonport or Geelong. You will develop the Safety and Environment Strategy, ensure legislative compliance and drive continuous improvement while engaging with leadership and external partners.

This role requires a tertiary qualification and a proven record in cultural change within heavy industry.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in safety, environment or related field.
• Proven track record in delivering safety culture change.
• Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience influencing leadership and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop Spirit of Tasmania's Safety and Environment Strategy.
• Ensure legislative compliance across safety and environment domains.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and performance growth.
• Provide specialist advice to leadership and management teams.
• Liaise with external entities, unions and government bodies.
• Implement safety and environmental initiatives with stakeholder engagement.
