Job summary

ARB Australia in Kilsyth, Melbourne is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage orders, resolve discrepancies, and build strong supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries. You will convert requisitions to POs, coordinate with overseas suppliers, monitor ETAs, and input landed costs, while collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and improve procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Dynamics) and supplier management.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Order Management: convert requisitions to POs and issue orders to local and overseas suppliers.
• Supplier Coordination: monitor ETAs, follow up on delivery status, resolve discrepancies or delays.
• Dispute Resolution: manage price discrepancies and raise Supplier Cost Amendments when needed.
• Landed Cost Process: input and allocate landed costs.
• Shipping and Delivery: coordinate with 3PL for overseas shipments and warehouse delivery.
• Performance Monitoring: track open orders and supplier delivery performance.
• Supplier Reviews: participate in reviews and drive process improvements.
