Job summary

Siemens Energy, Australia, is seeking a procurement specialist to drive project-specific procurement strategies and oversee end-to-end procurement processes. You will coordinate with project teams, manage vendor selections, and lead negotiation efforts to secure optimal contracts for materials and services.

You will champion supplier evaluations, budgets, and risk management while aligning with global commodity experts and digital procurement tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; electrical engineering background preferred.
• 5–7 years in procurement functions, contract management, or project procurement.
• Experience in contract negotiations and claim management; supply chain optimization.
• Ability to develop and implement commodity strategies for projects.
• Experience qualifying and evaluating suppliers; RFX and eAuctions.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute project-specific procurement strategies with local and global alignment.
• Guide end-to-end procurement from vendor selection, negotiation to contract award and supplier performance.
• Lead commodity kick-offs and negotiation strategies; document outcomes.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams and requisitioners to meet needs.
• Monitor budgets and market trends; use supplier evaluations to drive savings and improvements.
• Address procurement risks; uphold policies, ethics, and maintain supplier relationships; promote digital tools.
