Job summary

Siemens Energy Pty. Ltd. in Australia is seeking a Project Procurement Buyer to shape how procurement is run for our Grid Technologies projects.

You will connect with suppliers, manage tendering and contracts, and drive value across the supply chain to support project delivery and operating profit. You will lead end-to-end procurement processes, develop commodity strategies with global experts, coordinate with project managers and commercial teams, and monitor budgets and supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, electrical engineering background preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement functions, contract management or project procurement.
• Experience in contract negotiations and claim management to optimize processes.
• Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies for projects.
• Ability to qualify and evaluate suppliers, lead negotiations, and create RFX/eAuctions.
• Represent procurement in an international team and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Shape and implement project-specific procurement strategies with global experts.
• Guide end-to-end procurement processes from vendor selection to supplier records.
• Prepare commodity kick-offs and negotiation strategies and document outcomes.
• Partner with project managers, commercial teams, and requisitioners to meet project needs.
• Monitor budgets and market trends; use supplier evaluations to identify savings.
• Address procurement risks and uphold policies while nurturing supplier relationships.
