Job summary

Capricorn is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead start-up, initiation and day-to-day governance of corporate projects, with initial focus on supporting the Communications and Engagement team. You will define scope, develop plans and schedules, coordinate resources, manage budgets and risks, and report to stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.

Projects include major events like the biennial Convention, Captivate, Gala Dinner and Trade Shows.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience planning, leading and managing project teams within tolerances.
• Strong application of project management disciplines to monitor risk, issue, dependency, resource, change and budgets with clear reporting.
• Demonstrated understanding of systems and processes within a complex environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure and IT technologies.
• Practitioner level project management certification such as AgilePM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, develop project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate resources, manage budgets and risks.
• Keep stakeholders informed through clear reporting and governance.
• Oversee business-led initiatives and events (Convention, Captivate, Gala Dinner, Trade Shows).
• Provide dedicated oversight to reduce delivery risk and enable confidence in project sponsors.
