Job summary

Capricorn is seeking an Events & Engagement Lead to shape and implement our community engagement strategy across events, awards, partnerships and activations. You will lead a team, set direction with the Head of Communications & Engagement, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure high standards across programs including our biannual overseas convention.

The role is an overarching leadership position with three direct reports, Perth as the preferred base, and travel required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading events and engagement programs.
• Strong ability to plan strategically across multiple initiatives.
• Proven track record in budgeting, contracts, negotiations and risk management.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead Capricorn's events and engagement portfolio, including awards, partnerships and activations.
• Oversee planning, governance, budgets, contracts and supplier negotiations.
• Provide coaching to direct reports and build strong relationships with Members and suppliers.
