Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a senior PMO/Project Controls leader to govern a complex delivery portfolio across NSW. You will steer cost, schedule, risk and change control, driving consistency and accountability across multiple delivery teams to enable informed decisions and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

You will manage portfolio challenges, issues and competing priorities, with two fixed-term full-time roles until 31/03/2028, and a strong focus on governance, process

Qualifications

• Experience across project delivery lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Strong experience managing portfolios, programs, and cross-functional initiatives in complex or matrix environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing project controls or PMO teams.
• Expertise in establishing and improving PMO processes, governance, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet).
• Familiarity with PPM tools (e.g. Clarity, Planview, ServiceNow PPM).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues and priorities.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2®, PMBOK, P3M3, PMI-RMP, or AACE (e.g. CCP, PSP, EVP), or equivalent.
