Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join the procurement team in a contract role. You will support business units across the procurement lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, and market research, while coordinating vendor negotiations and ensuring robust record management.

You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned with government priorities, bringing strong communications, financial acumen and confidentiality to the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and contract management.
• Ability to prepare procurement planning, specifications, sourcing and evaluation documentation.
• Strong vendor negotiations and market research capabilities.
• Familiarity with Whole of Government procurement priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to deliver procurement support across the lifecycle.
• Assist the Manager with procurement planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare documentation for routine and leveraged projects including planning, sourcing and evaluation.
• Conduct market research, market analysis and market sounding.
• Lead vendor negotiations and coordinate evaluation meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain effective records in hard copy and electronic systems.
