Job summary

GLENWOOD LOGISTICS PTY LTD - t/a Adelaide Contract Warehousing in Edinburgh North, SA, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategies, supplier relationships and purchasing operations within its warehousing and logistics network. You will oversee contracts, cost-efficient sourcing and coordinate with warehousing and transport teams to ensure reliable supply.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management including management responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in related field.
• Experience developing procurement strategies and supplier management programmes.
• Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and manage commercial agreements.
• Sound budgeting, expenditure analysis, cost control and inventory management knowledge.
• Experience managing procurement risks and coordinating with multiple operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and purchasing policies.
• Direct and coordinate purchasing for timely, cost-effective procurement.
• Identify and select suppliers based on price, quality and reliability.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and commercial terms for favorable conditions.
• Maintain supplier relationships to support reliable procurement.
• Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
• Prepare procurement forecasts and budgets to support planning.
• Coordinate with warehousing, transport and logistics for purchasing requirements.
• Oversee stock availability while minimising excess inventory.
• Review supplier performance and ensure contractual compliance.
• Implement procurement controls and proper recording systems.
• Analyze market conditions and pricing trends for sourcing options.
• Manage procurement risks and resolve supplier disputes.
• Lead purchasing staff and monitor performance against objectives.
• Prepare reports on expenditure, supplier performance and cost reductions.
