Job summary

Redland City Council is seeking a Procurement Governance Manager to lead Council's Procurement Governance function, shaping governance frameworks, policies and systems that strengthen compliance, manage risk and deliver strong procurement outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, influence senior stakeholders, drive continuous improvement and digital transformation across procurement, contracts, and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a complex organisation.
• Strategic procurement governance experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, governance frameworks and audit processes.
• Experience developing and implementing procurement policies and governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership to lead a multidisciplinary procurement team.
• Drive ongoing development and improvement of governance framework, policies and procedures.
• Build organisational capability through education, coaching and change initiatives.
• Partner with Councillors and senior leaders to strengthen procurement maturity.
• Ensure alignment with legislative requirements and best practice.
• Monitor compliance and manage procurement risks to maintain audit readiness.
• Identify governance improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability.
• Lead digital transformation and optimisation of procurement systems.
