Job summary

Canterbury-Bankstown Council is seeking two Strategic Procurement and Contracts Leads to drive end-to-end procurement across high-value projects. You will provide expert advice, governance, and performance monitoring to improve contract outcomes and supplier performance.

You will work with senior stakeholders to strengthen procurement capability, develop sourcing strategies and ensure value-for-money across diverse council services and programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in strategic procurement and contract lifecycle management in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead high-value, high-risk procurement activities and major contracts.
• Strong negotiation, risk management and governance capabilities.
• Knowledge of probity, governance and legislative compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic procurement across high-value, complex projects.
• Develop and improve contract management frameworks and governance.
• Provide specialist procurement advice on major contracts and supplier disputes.
• Manage procurement panels and drive value-for-money outcomes.
• Influence senior stakeholders and project managers with strategic analysis.
