The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Newcastle is seeking an ambitious Account Director to drive real impact in PR and Communications from Newcastle. You will lead a portfolio of client accounts as their primary strategic contact, from planning through to delivery, and build integrated PR strategies that tie back to business goals.

You will manage a small team, coach rising talent, handle crises, own account financials, forecast retainers, and pursue growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Several years in a PR/communications agency, with some account management experience.
• Confident media relations skills and an existing journalist/broadcast network.
• Strong writing ability to turn briefs into persuasive narratives.
• Good sense of budgets, margins and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of client accounts as the primary strategic contact, from planning through to delivery.
• Build and pitch integrated PR & Communications strategies tied to client business goals.
• Manage and develop a small team of account managers and executives; review and coach.
• Handle crisis communications and sensitive media situations with little notice.
• Own account financials: forecasting, retainers, profitability, and reporting to leadership.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new business pitches.
