Job summary

Qualifications

• EL1 or EL2 level experience or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Exceptional policy-writing, analytical and strategic-thinking capabilities.
• Experience preparing high-quality advice for senior executives or government decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development, implementation and evaluation of complex policy and programs.
• Preparing and quality-assuring briefs, submissions, reports and strategic advice.
• Translating complex evidence and policy issues into clear recommendations.
• Providing authoritative advice to senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and building organisational capability.
• Managing sensitive, high-profile or emerging policy and program matters.
• Establishing governance, risk-management and performance-reporting arrangements.
• Building productive relationships across government and external organisations.
• Managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Supporting executive, ministerial and parliamentary processes where required.
