Job summary

Talent in Canberra seeks an EL1 Assistant Director Strategic Policy to lead policy and reform projects from development through to implementation. You will analyse complex policy issues, data and legislation, and prepare high-quality briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence.

The role requires influencing and negotiating practical policy solutions while leading a high-performing team and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic policy and implementation experience.
• Experience leading policy, reform, projects or programs in the public sector.
• Excellent analytical, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Sound judgement and governance capability.
• Experience working with legislation.
• Knowledge of disability sector, strategic commissioning or Commonwealth procurement advantageous.
