Job summary

The City of Geelong is seeking a senior analyst to assess performance, shape future planning systems, and champion AI and automation opportunities to deliver smarter reporting.

You will lead the Annual Planning Cycle service planning, consolidate plans across divisions, and translate insights into action while mentoring the team.

A Commerce or Business degree or equivalent experience is required; excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business or significant professional experience in Commerce or Business fields.
• Proven change management skills.
• Strong presentation skills with ability to use technology to convey information.
• Excellent written and verbal communications for stakeholder alignment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the organisation through the Annual Planning Cycle, ensuring business and service plans are strategically aligned.
• Lead the service planning component of the Annual Planning Cycle to develop service plans with demand, cost and improvement priorities.
• Consolidate sub-service plans into an organisation-wide service plan and identify collaboration opportunities.
• Own the integration between service planning and service reviews and translate insights into the roadmap.
• Ensure service reviews recommendations are reflected in service plans and monitor actions.
• Support development of the City’s annual strategic priorities with clear KPIs and performance standards.
• Mentor and guide team members to build professional competence.
