Job summary

University of Queensland seeks a strategic, credible leader to head Planning and Business Intelligence, partnering with the Vice-Chancellor and senior leaders to shape planning, performance, reporting, analytics and BI across the university.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, provide high-quality information and advice on institutional performance, and translate complex data into clear strategies that inform UQ’s direction.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in Australian higher education.
• Strong understanding of government policy, funding methodologies and reporting requirements.
• Experience in institutional planning, performance management, student load forecasting, admissions modelling and business intelligence.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse multidisciplinary team and influence senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planning and Business Intelligence function and partner with senior leadership to shape planning, performance, reporting, analytics and BI.
• Guide a high-performing multidisciplinary team and collaborate with key stakeholders across the University.
• Provide high-quality information, analysis and advice on institutional performance, higher education policy and funding, student demand and growth, resource planning and other critical matters informing UQ’s strategic direction.
• Drive cross-university data integration and develop dashboards and analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.
