Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a senior professional to provide strategic advice and leadership for the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. This role offers governance oversight, executive support and delivery of strategic projects in a collaborative executive team.

You will work with senior leaders across UQ, shaping governance, planning and reporting while guiding a high‑performing executive support team. This fixed‑term position supports key university priorities.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, extensive management experience and proven management expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high‑level strategic advice and navigate complex matters.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on governance, operations and project design for executive staff.
• Lead prep of strategic documents, briefings, presentations, reports and submissions.
• Plan and deliver strategic projects with defined scope and resources, coordinating stakeholders.
• Lead executive office operations, governance activities and maintain strong administrative systems.
