Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Development Officer in Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy to drive philanthropic fundraising across national and international trusts and foundations. You will cultivate, solicit and steward prospects, delivering compelling proposals and building sustainable relationships that advance UNSW’s priorities and revenue targets.

The role reports to the Head of Development and does not have direct reports, with responsibilities spanning portfolio management and collaborative work

Qualifications

• Relevant degree with extensive fundraising and donor relations experience.
• Proven ability to secure major gifts and commitments of $100,000 or greater.
• Excellent stakeholder management with alumni, donors and partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication for grants, proposals and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support philanthropic strategies to meet fundraising priorities and revenue targets.
• Build and manage a portfolio of approximately 100 trust and foundation prospects.
• Identify opportunities, develop proposals and nurture relationships.
• Prepare EOIs, proposals and solicitation materials for donors and prospects.
• Develop cultivation and stewardship plans for prospects and donors.
• Provide fundraising advice and support to stakeholders across UNSW.
• Develop and implement an annual work plan aligned to fundraising goals.
