Job summary

UNSW Kensington Campus is seeking an Associate Director, Research Programs to lead strategic and operational funding activities across Faculties, Research Grants & Contracts, and external partners. You will translate priorities into funded outcomes and provide expert guidance to senior leaders on strategy, governance, and opportunities.

You will oversee a team of about 11, including four direct reports, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to strengthen UNSW's competitive research funding

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification and/or extensive experience in major research or government portfolios.
Strong track record in developing and stewarding collaborative research partnerships.
Expert knowledge of national and international research funding environments.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for UNSW's institutional research funding capability.
Translate institutional priorities into coordinated funding outcomes and advise senior leaders on strategy and governance.
Lead a team of about 11, including 4 direct reports, across faculties and external partners.
