Job summary

Whitehaven Coal Limited seeks an experienced Manager – People & Culture for the Vickery Mine to shape workforce strategy and lead P&C at site level. You will influence senior leaders and drive practical, sustainable people solutions that support operations.

Relocation and FIFO options may be considered for suitable candidates, with a strong emphasis on governance, safety, and STRIVE values across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Significant senior HR leadership experience within mining or heavy industry.
• Expertise in industrial and employee relations, including Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workforce governance.
• Proven capability in workforce planning, organisational design and culture change.
• Ability to influence senior operational stakeholders and provide pragmatic, commercially sound advice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the site's People & Culture strategy aligned with operations.
• Lead complex industrial relations matters and EA negotiations.
• Drive workforce planning, organisational design and talent management.
• Coach site leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness and engagement.
• Advise on organisational change and workforce development initiatives.
• Ensure governance, compliance and alignment with STRIVE values.
