Job summary

Whitehaven Coal Limited seeks an experienced Manager – People & Culture to lead strategic and operational HR at the Vickery Mine, near Gunnedah. You will shape workforce strategy, strengthen leadership capability and support growth, working with site and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Significant senior HR leadership experience within mining or heavy industry.
• Expertise in industrial and employee relations, including negotiating Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments.
• Proven capability across workforce planning, organisational change and leadership development.
• Ability to influence senior operational stakeholders with pragmatic, commercially sound advice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the site's People & Culture strategy aligned with operational objectives.
• Lead complex industrial and employee relations matters, including Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
• Drive workforce planning, capability development and succession planning for the site.
• Coach site leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, engagement and performance.
• Provide strategic advice on change initiatives and operational growth programs.
• Ensure governance, compliance and alignment with STRIVE values and policies.
