Job summary

Bayside Group seeks an experienced Supply Chain Material Planner to join our Melbourne team. This office-based role ensures materials are available to meet customer demand while optimising inventory and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with warehouse and production operations to keep stock aligned with forecasts and production schedules. Applicants should have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or related field and proven experience in material planning, MRP systems, and demand

Qualifications

• Proven experience in material planning / supply chain role within manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of MRP systems.
• Understanding of supply chain processes including forecasting, demand planning, and logistics.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRP analysis to align customer demand with supplier capacity and lead times.
• Develop and manage material plans based on forecasts and purchase orders.
• Monitor stock levels, in-transit inventory, and shipping schedules to identify shortages.
• Maintain accurate system data to support real-time decision-making.
• Generate shortage reports, material arrival reports, and escalation reports.
• Manage inventory levels and classification (ABC analysis).
• Liaise with suppliers to manage deliveries, lead times, and performance issues.
• Coordinate logistics planning with freight forwarders and internal teams.
• Review non-standard orders and confirm delivery feasibility.
• Track returnable packaging and manage stock movements.
• Manage excess and non-moving inventory.
• Communicate material-related delivery changes to customers.
