Job summary

St John of God Ballarat Hospital is seeking a Management and Reporting Accountant to support the financial performance of its Ballarat and Warrnambool Hospitals. The role, based at Ballarat, focuses on timely reporting, forecasting and insightful management accounting to enable informed decision‑making.

You will develop performance reporting, budgeting, and trend analysis, liaising with Group Shared Services to ensure high‑quality financial support across the division.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, including month-end reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse key financial and operational metrics to provide meaningful insights.
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and projections for planning.
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly management reports, KPI analysis and performance reporting.
• Partner with hospital leaders and stakeholders to understand drivers and support strategic objectives.
• Contribute to budgeting, business planning, and month-end processes.
• Build financial capability through stakeholder support and collaboration with Shared Services.
