Catherine McAuley Catholic College in Medowie invites a Permanent Full-Time Leader of Learning - Religious Education to lead the Catholic RE program from January 2027. The role partners with the Principal and RE staff to ensure quality teaching and learning across Years 7–12, driven by a Catholic world-view and evidence-based practices.

The successful candidate will promote academic rigour, manage curriculum outcomes, and support ongoing professional development while upholding NSW/ACT Catholic

Qualifications

• Practising Catholic with clear commitment to Catholic education
• Experience leading or coordinating religious education programs
• Strong record of collaborative professional learning and staff development
• Demonstrated ability to reflect the spirit of Catholic education in classroom practice

Responsibilities

• Promote academic rigour in Religious Education
• Supervise implementation of diocesan RE curriculum
• Ensure high standards of teaching practice
• Lead ongoing development and oversight of quality teaching programs
• Demonstrate expertise in KLA curriculum requirements
• Foster collaborative and reflective professional cultures
• Support staff in professional development and leadership roles
• Know students well to support faith development through engagement
