Job summary

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) is seeking a Lead, Learning and Teaching - CPAR to drive system-wide curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting initiatives across a large education network. You will translate evidence into practical guidance, professional learning and high-quality resources to strengthen educator capability and improve student outcomes.

The role collaborates with schools, central office teams and the Victorian Catholic Education Authority to deliver MACS

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting initiatives across a large and complex education system.
• Deep expertise in evidence-based practice and translating research into teaching improvement.
• Proven leadership of assessment, data and reporting strategies to support school and system improvement.
• Experience leading professional learning, resource development and implementation support for teachers and school leaders.
• Strong program, project and people leadership capability, including strategic planning and risk management.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills across education sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the CPAR portfolio, ensuring priorities are evidence-based and aligned with MACS directions.
• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of system-wide CPAR initiatives to build educator capability and improve teaching quality.
• Lead collection, analysis and use of educational data to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
• Provide expert advice on curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, reporting and evidence-based practice to senior leaders.
• Lead the development and review of policies, resources and professional learning to support high-quality F–12 practice.
• Oversee major programs and projects across the CPAR portfolio, including governance, budgeting and risk management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities and integrated school support.
