Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Town Planner to coordinate and guide the Strategic Land Use Team within the Strategic Planning Branch in Windsor, NSW. The role focuses on sustainable growth, development and environmental management across the Hawkesbury Local Government Area.

To succeed, you’ll hold a degree in Town Planning or Urban Planning, with extensive experience in land use strategy, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning or related discipline.
• 6+ years of strategic land use planning experience in local government or similar.
• Experience preparing Planning Proposals and Local Environmental Plans.
• Experience leading community consultation and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Class C driver's licence.
• The right to live and work in Australia.
• Post graduate studies in Management, Environment, Law or related discipline.
• Member of Planning Institute of Australia.
• Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993.

• Coordinate and operate the Strategic Land Use Team within the Strategic Planning Branch.
• Guide sustainable growth, development and environmental management of the Hawkesbury LGA.
• Lead and manage complex planning projects with multiple stakeholders.
