Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Windsor, NSW, seeks a planning professional to manage major and complex Development Applications and lead proceedings in the Land and Environment Court. You will drive business improvement and mentor the team to ensure high performance and superior customer experience.

You will work within a dynamic planning group, applying extensive NSW planning experience, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive approach to prioritising complex tasks with accuracy

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with Development Applications in the NSW Planning system.
• Experience negotiating with applicants to achieve high-quality planning outcomes.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills in planning concepts.
• Experience in Land and Environment Court practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage major and complex Development Applications.
• Take a lead role in Land and Environment Court proceedings.
• Drive business improvement within the Development Assessment context.
