Job description

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste. Why do we need to do that? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste!

As the world's largest food waste-fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it. But we're more than an app: Our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste, so we're doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste.

We're growing fast, with our community of over 120 million users in 20 countries saving more than 600 million meals from going to waste - that's more than 1,296,000 tonnes of CO2e saved! But there's still a lot more we want to achieve.

Your Mission:

That means we're looking for talented people with diverse skills and backgrounds to add to our growing team. That is where you come in: we're looking for a Strategic Key Account Manager to join us in our Sydney office to grow and retain our largest accounts through strategic planning and execution.

You will play a pivotal role in the growth of Too Good To Go Australia and the fight against food waste by using your experience in the retail and/or fast casual sector to develop and grow partnerships with prominent retailers in the food and beverage industry. Ensuring that their head office and stores are supported fully to save food from waste and celebrate their successes.

Your role in our team:
  • Account Growth: developing strategies and solution-selling products or features to grow your accounts and working with the retailer to increase store coverage and ensure that the maximum amount of surplus is supplied on the marketplace.

  • Account Management of our enterprise sized accounts: autonomy in managing your own portfolio of chains and ensuring the relationship is strong and business KPIs are met. Ensuring support across all layers of corporate headquarters, regional and area management and stores themselves.

  • Through your committed and reliable way of working, you continue established relationships and build close and sustainable relationships with our partners, ensuring that they have the best Too Good To Go experience.

  • You are the first point of contact for our partners for all matters and coordinate internally with our colleagues from other departments, because you are primarily responsible for the success of projects, marketing campaigns, events, press releases, reporting etc. for your portfolio of accounts.

  • Research: independently search for new opportunities, learn about the businesses in depth, map the stakeholders and understand their decision-making process in order to drive success of Too Good To Go within their business

  • You are a face of Too Good To Go and may present our concept at trade or franchisee fairs, events and meetings.

  • Analysis and strategy for the further development of partnerships

  • You create and analyse relevant reports for internal and external purposes in order to present performance transparently and enable data-based decisions.

  • You develop and implement growth strategies that are tailored to the needs of our partners as well as our internal KPIs.

This is what you bring with you:
  • Strong Account Management experience, demonstrating an ability to build rapport, establish trust and deepen relationships, ideally in the grocery sector, however experience with handling large enterprise accounts is also valuable

  • A proven track record of delivering business growth with existing accounts

  • Solution selling approach

  • Solid commercial experience working in ideally working in the food retail or marketplace sector.

  • You're a master communicator, you know when to speak, you know how to listen, and you know how to engage a whole room and keep their attention

  • Data Analysis and Excel/Sheets skills to use raw data to create performance reports and projections to identify and understand trends, opportunities and issues.

  • Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations, using data-driven insights to engage partners with their food waste mission

  • A passion for the mission and raising awareness of food waste & sustainability

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently and efficiently

  • You are a negotiator, able to influence decisions and are solution-oriented and also show this in your career to date.

  • The unique opportunity to join the pioneering team leading the expansion of a proven food surplus marketplace into Australia

  • Working alongside an international community of users, partners and 1,300+ colleagues across 20 countries that are on the same important mission.

  • Personal and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
