Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Strategic Planner to lead the development, review, implementation and administration of the infrastructure contributions framework, ensuring growth contributes fairly and transparently to infrastructure provision for current and future communities.

You will hold tertiary qualifications in urban planning (or related fields) with demonstrated experience in development contributions and funding mechanisms, plus strong analytical and financial modelling skills

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation, review and administration of development contributions plans and infrastructure funding mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, implement and administer Council’s infrastructure contributions framework.
• Ensure development growth contributes fairly and transparently to infrastructure provision and council’s long-term financial sustainability.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and departments to ensure alignment with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes to legislation and adapt infrastructure funding mechanisms accordingly.
