Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Windsor NSW is seeking a Strategic Planner to lead the development, review and administration of the infrastructure contributions framework, ensuring new growth funds essential services while sustaining the council's long-term finances.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, with experience in development contributions and infrastructure funding, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex,

Qualifications

• Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) or equivalent.
• Experience in preparation, review and administration of development contributions plans and infrastructure funding mechanisms.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related regulations.
• Experience negotiating planning agreements or infrastructure funding outcomes with developers and landowners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The right to live and work in Australia.
• Class C Drivers Licence and NSW WHS competencies.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Background checks and medical declaration may be required.
• Experience in Local Government and knowledge of Western Sydney/flood-prone areas.
