seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Shipping, Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join our busy import operation in Ormeau, QLD. The role oversees purchase orders, inventory levels and supplier coordination as we import ~1,000 containers per year.

We require strong Excel skills, attention to detail and experience with ERP/order-management systems. This full-time position offers a stable environment with growth opportunities in logistics and international shipping.

Qualifications

Experience in shipping, imports, purchasing, logistics or supply-chain coordination.
Experience managing containerised imports.
Strong administration and organisational skills.
Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.
Confidence using Microsoft Excel and order-management or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Raise and manage purchase orders for products.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels in our warehouses.
Liaise with overseas suppliers regarding pricing, production and delivery schedules.
Coordinate approximately 1,000 container imports per year.
Book shipments and work with freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs agents.
Maintain accurate shipping, purchasing and product records.
Check commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading.
Track containers and manage delays or supply issues.
Keep internal teams informed of order and delivery dates.
