Job summary

AbbVie Australia seeks a Policy Lead to drive the affiliate policy strategy, developing relationships with Medicines Australia and external stakeholders. You will translate complex policy landscapes into actionable insights to support AbbVie's reimbursement objectives.

The role involves coordinating policy positions, leading government consultations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives within a 12-month max term contract.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify policy issues and develop strategic policy positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the policy project team to monitor, scan and prioritise issues.
• Coordinate and drive development of policy positions and proactive initiatives.
• Lead government and other consultation responses on priority policy issues.
• Engage in market access and pipeline activities to support reimbursement strategy.
• Support advocacy projects with Corporate Affairs and cross-functional teams.
• Understand current and emerging policy trends and translate into strategic insights.
• Prepare and deliver policy briefings for internal stakeholders including AMT and above-country functions.
• Build internal networks to align AbbVie policy positions and drive execution.
• Participate in Medicines Australia and multi-company task forces when relevant.
• Report adverse events within 24 hours per policies and procedures.
• Support AbbVie's WHS programs and maintain safe work environment.
• Adhere to internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as requested.
