Job summary

Michael Page partnered with an Australian hospitality-focused private company to recruit a Financial Controller for a stand‑alone role in South Perth. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, and intercompany activities.

The ideal candidate has Big 4/Mid Tier audit experience, commercial controller exposure, and aims to progress toward CFO. Xero knowledge and travel to site monthly are required.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification mandatory.
• Public practice background beneficial.
• Experience in SME commercial environment preferred.
• Hospitality or property exposure desirable.
• Intercompany exposure helpful.
• Xero accounting system knowledge required.
• Willingness to travel to site monthly.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Oversee outsourced payroll (fortnightly) for the group.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow management and financial planning.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision making.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals.
