Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a renowned global SaaS business to recruit a CA-qualified Finance Leader based in Melbourne. You will lead a five-person accounting & reporting team, driving capability, engagement and operational excellence while shaping governance and controls.

You will finalise historic reporting for Q4 2026, implement automation and AI-led improvements, manage payroll governance and ESOP accounting, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• CA qualified with recognized accounting credential.
• 8+ years of technical accounting experience.
• Big 4 background preferred (mid-tier acceptable).
• Global payroll management experience.
• SaaS/tech finance experience.
• Proven track record leading high-performing teams.
• Interest in AI and automation in finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team driving capability, engagement and operational excellence.
• Drive finalisation of historic reporting, a key priority for Q4 2026.
• Establish reliable operating rhythm within Accounting & Reporting for timely monthly reporting.
• Establish robust financial controls, accounting policies and governance frameworks to support growth and compliance.
• Champion automation, process improvement and AI-led initiatives across the finance operations function.
• Oversee accounting operations including capitalisation, transfer pricing, treasury management and accounts payable governance.
• Act as the final approver for key finance operations activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong risk management.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Tax, People & Culture, Legal and Product teams to deliver strategic business outcomes.
• Lead revenue operations, payroll governance and employee share scheme (ESOP) accounting and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to critical business transformation initiatives, including entity structure reviews, operating model improvements and other strategic projects.
