Job summary

Laing O’Rourke’s Sydney head office is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Clients & Markets division. You’ll bridge head office finance and the business, shaping the numbers behind how we pursue, price and win work across Australia.

This permanent, full-time role reports to the Head of Finance Services & Treasury and focuses on delivering insight, forecasts and performance reporting while partnering with market leaders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in commerce or economics; CA/CPA preferred but not essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in a financial or commercial role with strong analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clients & Markets leaders, providing advice and challenge.
• Prepare and analyse monthly forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
• Track performance against budget, flagging risks and opportunities early.
• Deliver financial insight that supports bids, pipeline and work winning.
• Translate financial data into clear advice for non-finance stakeholders.
• Sharpen reporting, forecasting and budgeting using better data and tools.
