Job summary

CommBank is seeking a Senior Manager Finance Business Partnering within Global Technology Services. The role provides strategic financial leadership to the Core Platforms and Infrastructure portfolio, partnering with senior Technology and Finance leaders to drive commercial decisions and financial governance.

The position emphasizes planning, performance insights and cost control across a complex portfolio, supporting executives with forward-looking analysis and executive-ready commentary.

Qualifications

• Senior finance partnering experience in a large organisation.
• Strong commercial, accounting and financial management capability (CA/CPA).
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with evidence-based advice.
• Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and strategic decision support.
• Understanding of financial control and balance sheet management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset with governance and process strengthening.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with Executive Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Lead driver-based annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Own monthly management reporting and executive commentary.
• Translate data into insights, options, and recommendations.
• Lead financial modelling and commercial assessment of plans and investments.
• Provide constructive challenge on costs, risks and delivery outcomes.
• Oversee contract reviews, accounting treatment and balance sheet ownership.
• Identify and lead process improvements for efficiency and decision quality.
• Coordinate priorities across Finance and Technology teams.
