Job summary

Morgan Consulting is seeking a Senior hands-on Finance leader to oversee the financial operations of a growing Australian business. You will manage reporting, controls and commercial analysis while partnering with Directors to drive sustainable growth. The role combines strong accounting discipline with strategic business partnering, including tax, audits and system improvements. Based in Sydney with relocation considerations.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related.
• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5–7+ years in financial or accounting management.
• Experience with trust accounting and commission-based revenue.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with actionable insights.
• Partner with Directors to analyze profitability and manage costs.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and trust accounts.
• Oversee tax and statutory reporting including BAS, GST, payroll tax and income tax; support audits.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable, payroll and general ledger processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance policies, systems and controls.
