Job summary

The Andersen Partnership is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function across a multi-entity group including trusts and development vehicles in Sydney. You will own financial integrity, oversee consolidation and reporting, and partner with the CFO and MD on strategic decisions.

You will manage project accounting, tax compliance, audits and treasury, while developing a high-performing finance team and implementing robust controls.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
• 5+ years as Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
• Experience in property development, real estate, or multi-entity structures.
• Strong consolidation, trust accounting and property development accounting knowledge.
• Proven audits, tax compliance and lender/advisor collaboration experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling; ERP experience.
• Ability to communicate with non-finance executives and family principals.
• Discreet, hands-on in a privately held, family-controlled environment.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and consolidation across multiple entities.
• Oversee development and project accounting, including revenue recognition on settlement.
• Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury, debt facilities and covenant reporting.
• Oversee tax compliance across companies and trusts and international obligations.
• Lead external audits and strengthen controls, governance and ASIC compliance.
• Prepare board packs and assist due diligence, structuring and modelling for acquisitions/JVs.
• Lead and develop the finance team and drive process improvements.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial strategy and long-term planning.
