Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Sydney CBD is seeking a senior Accountant with substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. The role requires strong organization and an analytical mindset to drive accurate financial reporting.

Key duties include preparing financial reports, work papers, and tax filings, as well as identifying compliance issues and efficiency gains. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial reports including trial balance and statements of financial performance and position
• Preparation of work papers and files
• Analysis of financial statements and provision of explanations of key matters
• Updating of permanent tax files
• Identification of tax compliance and planning issues
• Resolution of tax issues
• Calculation of taxable income and reconciliation to financial statements
• Preparation and finalisation of tax returns and BAS
• Completion of management account checklist
• Identification of efficiency gains on assignment
• Identification and resolution of tax planning issues
• Preparation of finance submissions
