Job summary

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Group Finance Manager with financial management advice across the division. You will help build relationships with divisional executives and gain a deep understanding of each division’s financial position and resourcing needs.

This ongoing role is based in Victoria with hybrid work arrangements. Applicants should have a finance qualification (CPA/CA preferred) and government finance experience,

Qualifications

• A finance-related qualification is highly desirable.
• CPA/CA professional qualification preferable.
• Experience in government finance and knowledge of the Financial Management Act is preferred.
• Experience providing analysis and insights on finance management activities.
• Experience using ERP systems, especially Oracle Financials, for report extraction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial management advice for senior managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with divisional executives and senior managers.
• Develop a deep understanding of each division’s financial position and resourcing needs.
