Job summary

The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a highly capable Executive Officer to support the Director Regulatory Affairs and Engagement and the work of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. The role involves strategic advisory, committee secretariat duties and broad administrative support across senior leadership and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate with executives, academics, professional staff and government agencies to advance ANU priorities in a fast-paced environment,

Qualifications

Exceptional strategic capacity and ability to exercise judgement in a confidential environment.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks rapidly and accurately at a high level.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and autonomous teamwork.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of challenges facing the Australian higher education sector would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide advice and support for strategic initiatives to the Director Regulatory Affairs and Engagement and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
Provide secretariat and communications support to university committees and administrative offices.
Deliver administrative support to senior university executives and external partners.
