KFC South Pacific in Sydney is seeking a Category Manager – Equipment to shape how we source, manage and continually improve the equipment our restaurant teams rely on daily. You will lead category strategies across the equipment portfolio, balancing commercial value with safety and reliability while partnering with Operations, the EDC, Franchisees and suppliers to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Experience across procurement, category management, strategic sourcing or commercial management.
• Strong commercial and negotiation capability with complex supplier relationships.
• Experience developing category strategies and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong supplier management with performance improvement.
• Analytical thinking with understanding of cost drivers and TCO.
• Excellent stakeholder management across complex relationships.
• Curious, practical approach translating challenges into commercial actions.
• Experience with equipment, OEMs, engineering, facilities, food service, or multi-site environments is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the category – develop and deliver equipment category strategies balancing value, operations, safety and lifecycle.
• Lead the commercial conversation – manage sourcing, tenders, negotiations and arrangements.
• Think beyond the purchase price – visibility of cost drivers, reliability, servicing, warranty and life.
• Build partnerships that perform – strengthen relationships with manufacturers and service providers.
• Improve restaurant performance – partner with Operations, EDC and suppliers to improve reliability and service.
• Keep safety and compliance front of mind – ensure equipment meets standards and requirements.
• Connect the dots – align Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, Franchisees and suppliers.
