Job summary

Calvary Health Care is seeking a Category Manager to lead procurement of FF&E and capital equipment across a large health care network. You will manage high‑value, project-based sourcing, negotiate contracts, and align with Facilities, Clinical and Finance to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.

You will develop category plans, drive lifecycle management, and report on spend, savings and supplier performance, in a hybrid work environment across multiple Australian locations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of procurement experience in capital/FF&E or complex projects.
• Experience leading multi-stage sourcing including RFT and tender evaluation.
• Experience negotiating capital contracts with favourable terms and lifecycle obligations.
• Ability to work across Capital Works, Facilities and Clinical stakeholders with competing timelines.
• Strong analytical, commercial skills and savings reporting.
• Excellent written communication and contract recommendation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy across FF&E and capital equipment including medical equipment and refurbishments.
• Develop category plans with pipelines, sourcing calendars and contract frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing and tendering for high-value items with TOC analysis.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, warranties, maintenance obligations and end-of-life terms.
• Engage with stakeholders early in project planning to address clinical/operational requirements.
• Monitor portfolio performance, spend, savings and supplier KPIs in line with policies.
