Macquarie University Information Technology is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership across the University’s complex application domains. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office per week) and a 2-year fixed-term appointment, with a competitive salary plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.

This pivotal role supports digital transformation across engagement, student, research, finance, HR and facilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture across large, complex organisations.
• Knowledge of TOGAF and architecture governance and roadmaps.
• Ability to translate business needs into architecture direction and actionable roadmaps.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership to guide technology direction.
• Define and communicate enterprise architecture vision and roadmaps.
• Develop current-state and target-state architectures with capability models.
• Provide architecture governance for major programs and procurements.
• Contribute to governance boards and handle risks and debt.
• Identify opportunities to rationalise and modernise the technology landscape.
• Build relationships across IT and service units to uplift capability.
