Maronite College of the Holy Family – Parramatta seeks an outstanding educational leader to join as Leader of Learning - English for Secondary. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, this role drives curriculum, pedagogy and assessment across Years 7-12 to achieve excellence in learning outcomes.

The successful applicant will lead curriculum innovation, staff growth and ensure students develop literacy, critical thinking and communication skills for a contemporary world.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a secondary English faculty.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary English curriculum.
• Evidence-based teaching practices.
• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction and continuous improvement of Secondary English.
• Oversee English curriculum and assessment across Years 7-12.
• Ensure delivery of NESA syllabus requirements and modern teaching.
• Lead planning, moderation, reporting and curriculum compliance.
• Analyse student data to guide priorities and outcomes.
• Mentor and support English teachers, including new staff.
• Foster collaboration, growth, innovation and accountability.
• Support differentiated learning for diverse learners.
• Manage faculty resources, budgets and spaces.
• Build partnerships with students, parents and staff.
