Job summary

Circuitwise Electronics is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer / Buyer to ensure the right materials are available at the right time, cost and quality to support production for MedTech, Aerospace and Defence projects.

You will source components, manage supplier relationships, and drive improvements across BOMs, lead times and supplier performance, working closely with Planning, Production and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in supply chain or related discipline.
• 2+ years' purchasing experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS.
• Strong communication and supplier relationship skills.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data handling.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing of electronic components, PCBs and production materials.
• Review BOM and material requirements and obtain competitive supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and supply terms with suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders from placement through to delivery.
• Monitor and expedite outstanding orders to align with production schedules.
• Proactively manage component shortages and supply risks.
• Build relationships with manufacturers and authorised distributors.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support customer and production requirements.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and inventory optimisation.
